What are stone fruits? also called a drupe – a fruit with flesh or pulp enclosing a stone.

How to choose: Choose Peaches and nectarines that has no green or wrinkly patches.Look for plum that is heavy and firm, but not hard with no brown spots.

How to store: Store stone fruits, like peaches and plums, at room temperature and stem side down to ripen. Peaches and nectarines also have a sweet, flowery scent when they are ready to be eaten. To determine if stone fruit is ripe, if it dents easily, it is ripe. Once ripe your stone fruits are ready to eat!
