Looking for an absolutely delicious protein and fiber packed snack? Look no further! These chocolate protein bars, made right from home are sure to delight any taste bud and fill your tummy with a little extra nutrition! Skip the store bought and make these delicious bars from home.

  • Prep: 15 mins
  • Cook: 15 mins
  • Yields: 10 bars

Ingredients

2 CRAVE IT! Chocolate Lover's SMOOTHZ Shake Mix

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

5 oz. black beans (1 can)

1/4 cup Honey

1/4 cup Milk

Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 F

2line an 8-inch pan with parchment (or grease very well).

3Drain beans and rinse them extremely well to remove any aftertaste.

4Combine all ingredients in a food processor until completely smooth. (A food processor will yield a much better taste and texture, but you can use a blender if you keep this in mind.)

5Smooth batter into the prepared pan, scraping every bit from the processor.

6Use a second sheet of parchment to press down evenly – keep pressing down, making sure batter doesn’t go up the sides, and eventually it does spread to the edges of the pan.

7Bake 13 to 15 minutes on the center rack. They will look slightly underdone.

8Remove from oven, let rest on counter for 20 minutes and then refrigerate the pan–loosely covered–overnight. The bars will be firm enough to cut by the next day

TIP : Spread a little peanut butter on top for a delicious peanut butter chocolate delight
